Are you ready to become a grill master? Join Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Seminole Tribe 4-H for the inaugural SoFlo 4-H Tailgate Competition!
The purpose of this contest is to teach youth the art of preparing beef, pork, poultry, and seafood in an outdoor setting. So, do you think you have what it takes? This event will be held on two dates, March 21st and May 6th, 2023 at Amelia Earhart Park.
Tuesday, March 21st, 2023: Orientation
On this day, youth will learn how to prepare for the competition and practice on a grill. This includes food safety, knife skills, seasonings, grill setup, among other valuable lessons. Youth will have seven weeks to practice their skills independently before returning to compete. Youth MUST attend the training and orientation day on March 21st to be eligible to compete in the competition.
Saturday, May 6th, 2023: Competition
More information will be provided on the day of orientation.
