UF Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Extension booth @ Cedar Key

Visit UF Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Extension booth at 49th Annual Cedar Key Seafood Festival, October 20th and 21st, 9-5 pm.

Extension Master Gardeners love to “talk plants.” Share photos of your flowering pride and joy, bring garden questions and discuss Florida Friendly Landscaping options specific to your site. Free UF/IFAS horticulture publications and handouts will be available.

Come out for the views, music, delicious seafood, craft vendors and more on beautiful Cedar Key Island. Stop by the Nature Coast Biological Station to view restoration progress (optimal viewing at low tide).

“Recently, we embarked on a mission to improve upland management practices and redeem our seawall. Our goals were to improve habitat, reduce nutrient runoff, conserve freshwater, and increase water filtration by oysters around our property.” Savanna Barry, Regional Specialized Seagrant Agent, University of Florida
