The Kick-Off party was a lot of fun. There were nine clubs with booths, each club represented a different country that fit with the 4-H theme for the year “4-H Around the World.” Each club showcased the unique cultural aspects of each country.

Represented clubs included Sorrento Renegades as Norway, Southern Traditions as Brazil, Green Clover Legacy as Kenya, Spirits 4-H as China, Southside and Friends as Germany, Southern Stars as Canada, County Council as Jamaica, Bits of Lake County as Japan, and GRITS as Scotland. Activities for this event included snow cones, making masks, ring the elephant, petting animals, making candy sushi, making swords, and a make and take butterfly garden kit.

The Lake County Kick-off party was a lot of fun and a big success! People from Lake County 4-H Clubs and the community were all in attendance.
