Jackson County 4-H

Jackson County Fl 2025-26 year begins September 1st, 2025. We have several Clubs available and open to kids 5 thru 18 years of age. After the success of our 2025 Summer Day Camps, we are looking forward to a year of awesome clubs. We will have general clubs like the Country Bumpkins, as well specific project clubs like Legos and Art as well as the tried-and-true chick chain club.

4-H teaches

4-H teaches a wide range of life skills that are essential for personal and community success. These skills are part of the Targeting Life Skills Model, which includes:
  • Thinking: Using one’s mind to form ideas and make decisions.
  • Managing: Using resources to accomplish a purpose.
  • Relating: Establishing a mutual or reciprocal connection between two people.
  • Caring: Showing understanding, kindness, concern, and affection for others.
  • Giving: Providing, supplying, or causing to happen (social responsibility).
  • Working: Accomplishing something or earning pay to support oneself through physical or mental effort.
  • Living: Acting or behaving; the manner or style of daily life.
  • These skills are designed to help youth transition from school life, enhancing their chances of success in college, career, and life after high school. 4-H programs provide hands-on learning activities that are research-based, fun, and engaging, helping young people develope the skills they need to thrive in their communities and beyond.
