Jackson County 4-H Youth and Parents Attend 4-H Day at the Capitol

4h4-H Day at the Capitol was held on March 26, 2015 in Tallahassee, Florida. Members of the Jackson County 4-H Livestock Club and their parents, along with their club leader, Stacey Warden were in attendance. They toured the Old and New State Capitol buildings, visited with politicians, and witnessed the Legislature in action.

4-H Day at the Capitol is an educational event that provides youth an opportunity to tour different parts of Tallahassee and the Capitol. Youth had the opportunity to visit with their Legislators and watch them in action on the floor of the Senate and House. 4-H youth also came together and shared the positive impacts of the Florida 4-H Program. Participants met with and heard from their elected officials at a “Morning and Noon Day Address.” Booths about 4-H programs were set up on the 2nd & 3rd floor Rotunda on the Senate side.
