March 2023 4-H Club Meetings

MARIANNA, FLA. — Jackson County 4-H offers experiential learning opportunities for youth ages 5-18, and all clubs are open to new members and beginners. Clubs typically meet once per month, and the county 4-H program offers service learning and affordable enrichment opportunities throughout the year.

  • Beef & Swine Club – Monday, March 6 at 5:30 p.m. Meets at UF/IFAS Extension Jackson County,
  • Dairy Club – Monday, March 6 at 6:15 p.m. Meets at UF/IFAS Extension Jackson County.
  • Jackson Budding Leaders Club – Tuesday, March 7 at 5:30 p.m. Open to ages 5-7. Meets at UF/IFAS Extension Jackson County.
  • Gardening & Horticulture Club – Wednesday, March 8 at 6:15 p.m. Meets at UF/IFAS Extension Jackson County
  • Goat Club – Thursday, March 9 at 4:00 p.m. Meets at UF/IFAS Extension Jackson County.
  • Horse Club – Thursday, March 9 at 5:30 p.m. Meets at JAGS / Tri-County Athletics.
  • Rabbit Club – Thursday, March 9 at 6:15 p.m. Meets at JAGS / Tri-County Athletics.
  • Clovers & Tiaras Pageant Club – Thursday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m. Meets at JAGS / Tri-County Athletics.
  • Lego & Engineering Club – Monday, March 13 at 4:45 p.m. Meets at UF/IFAS Extension Jackson County.
  • Chicken & Poultry Club – Monday, March 13 at 5:30 p.m. Meets at UF/IFAS Extension Jackson County.
  • Forestry Club – Tuesday, March 14 at 4:00 p.m. Meets at UF/IFAS Extension Jackson County.
  • Archery Club – Tuesday, March 14 at 4:45 p.m. Meets at UF/IFAS Extension Jackson County.
  • Culinary Club – Tuesday, March 14 at 5:30 p.m. Meets at UF/IFAS Extension Jackson County.

Jackson County 4-H Gardening & Horticulture Club members learned how to save and store seeds from heritage pumpkin and squash varieties for their seed library.
Members of the Jackson County 4-H Forestry and Sustainability Clubs and local Girl Scout troops planted more than 300 longleaf pine trees at the Florida Caverns State Park in January.
