Jackson 4-H Buckaroos Speak at Optimist Club Meeting
Jackson 4-H Buckaroos Horse Club members Johnny Stone and Zackery Edenfield were guest speakers at the Marianna Optimist Club meeting on Wednesday, June 7th.
As two of eight qualifiers for the State 4-H Horse Show in Tampa on July 12-15. Johnny and Zackery shared what they have gained from 4-H and how much they need the support of the community. Entry fees alone are nearly $1500. That does not include the costs related to travel, housing and food.
Club Leader Katricia Harrell, club members and volunteers are currently seeking financial support in order to get these youth to the State Horse Show in July. We will be selling chances for $2 each on a portable electric grill thanks to a donation from West Florida Electric Cooperative. You may purchase tickets at the 4-H Office or from club members. Please consider making a donation to the Jackson 4-H program today.
