Jackson County 4-H will host 4-H Ag Adventures November 1-2, 2012. This free educational program is offered to all first grade students in Jackson County and is designed to teach students about the science of agriculture. 4-H Ag Adventures will take place at the UF-IFAS North Florida Research and Education Center in Greenwood, FL. The goal for this program is to provide a quality, hands-on educational experience for youth to learn what agriculture is, what it means to our community, county and state, and to foster an appreciation for how the science of agriculture touches their everyday lives. Last year, over 400 students benefited from the program. We hope to have more this year. We have already started scheduling schools for field trips. Be sure to ask your first grader’s teacher about the 4-H Ag Adventures field trip.
