App Branding
Your app is a product of UF/IFAS. As such, it carries a strong brand already, but also needs to stand out as a recognizable tool on a user’s device. While great functionality and a smooth user experience are essential, they are only part of the story. Before users even open the app, they are influenced by our brand, starting with a unique icon in a consistent brand style. That small visual element should spark interest, convey trust, and stand out among competitors.
All apps developed by and for UF/IFAS programs and projects must follow the guidelines below to maintain a cohesive identity and support the trusted information our institution provides. When users engage with our products, it should leave a lasting impression, build credibility, and encourage repeat use. A strong brand doesn’t just attract attention; it builds loyalty.
App Profile Picture Template

Maintaining a cohesive and consistent look across UF/IFAS media, publications, and communications is essential. Consistent imagery helps reinforce our brand identity, making it easier for people to recognize and remember us. That is where our mobile app icon comes in.
Use our app profile templates to maintain a cohesive and consistent look across UF/IFAS. You may insert an icon or text in the white area of the template to customize the look of our app.

About Page

The top of the about page is a great place to include the appropriate UF/IFAS logo, along with any partner logos relevant to a mobile app. Consider including a clear explanation of what the app does and why it is useful, contact information, required legal statements, and credits to authors, designers, or photographers.
The UF/IFAS logos are available on the UF/IFAS Communications website at branding.ifas.ufl.edu/logos.
App Store Description
In the app stores, consider including the following elements: the app name, the appropriate UF/IFAS logo, a concise description that highlights key features and user benefits, and screen captures that showcase important parts of the app.
Splash Page
A splash page (or splash screen) of a mobile app is the first thing users see when they open the app, so it should make a strong impression while serving a functional purpose. Utilize the app icon, centered and prominent, to reinforce brand identity.
