Broward County
County Extension Director AND Extension Agent II – IV OR Program Agent II – IV – Natural Resources

We are looking for candidates with academic and people skills who work well in teams, honor their commitments, and innovate in a rapidly changing world. As a County Extension Director (CED) and Extension Agent, you will work jointly for UF/IFAS Extension and Broward County. As the CED (about 75% of your time), you will provide leadership and support for administering and supervising the total extension program within Broward County. As the Natural Resources Agent (about 25% of your time), your role focuses on developing and implementing educational programs that integrate emerging technologies to improve data-driven decision-making and natural resource management. Your guidance will be informed by an advisory committee that addresses the needs of the county’s population, aiming to enhance community capacity through effective leadership.
A master’s degree in natural resources, natural sciences, education, public administration, or a related field is required.
Duval County
County Extension Director and Program Extension Agent III – IV OR Extension Agent III – IV

The CED will maintain effective working relationships with UF/IFAS Extension Administration, county government, community leaders, private sector clientele, media, related agencies, and the public. The CED will supervise and evaluate county faculty and staff who lead extension programs in various subject matter areas such as 4-H Youth Development, Environmental, Urban and Commercial Horticulture, Agriculture, Small Farms, and Family and Consumer Science. The CED is also responsible for the administrative operations of the Jacksonville Canning Center and the Urban Demonstration and Community Gardens.
A bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree are required. Academic degree must be related to the programmatic area the successful candidate will develop their program in.
Franklin County
County Extension Director and Extension Agent II – IV – Sea Grant

As a Sea Grant Extension Agent and County Extension Director (CED), you will work jointly for UF/IFAS Extension in the Northwest Extension District and Franklin County in the Florida panhandle. We are looking for an individual that is a self-starting, energetic, and team-oriented leader.
A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in marine policy, coastal management, marine recreation, resource development, fisheries, aquaculture, marine biology, resource economics, or a related discipline is required.
Northeast District
Regional Specialized Extension Agent II – IV – Agriculture (Row Crops)

As an Agriculture (Row Crops) Regional Specialized Extension Agent (RSA), you will work 100% for University of Florida/IFAS Extension. You will be co-supervised by the Directors of the Northeast Extension District and North Florida Research and Education Center. The regional focus of the position will encompass primarily the row crop-producing counties of Alachua, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Madison, and Suwannee plus the other counties of the Northeast Extension District that also produce row crops. The position will be based at the UF/IFAS North Florida Research and Education Center – Suwannee Valley near Live Oak, in Suwannee County.
Earned bachelor’s degree and at least half of the credits toward a master’s degrees from accredited colleges or universities in agronomy, plant science, soil and water sciences, or a closely related field are required.
Osceola County
Extension Agent I or II – Family and Consumer Sciences – Housing and Financial Management

The successful candidate will lead through designing, implementing, and evaluating community-based education programs that improve financial literacy and help individuals, families, and communities improve their economic well-being (95%). Educational programs may be targeted to help individuals and families obtain skills to own or rent a home, prevent foreclosure, maintain their home, or take a long-term view of their financial futures. At least 5% of the candidate’s time will be devoted to 4-H Youth Development.

Extension Agent I or II – 4-H Youth Development

As a 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent, you will work jointly for the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Extension and Putnam County, a rural agriculture-based County in northeast Florida.
We seek a self-starter who is energetic, team-oriented, and committed to making a difference in the lives of young people. This position focuses on:
- Volunteer development – Recruiting, training, and supporting adult volunteers to deliver meaningful 4-H experiences.
- Positive youth development – Collaborate with 4-H volunteers, fellow 4-H Agents, and Extension faculty across program areas to design and deliver high-quality, engaging experiences that help young people thrive.
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in youth development, education, community development, or a related field. Note: Candidates hired with only a bachelor’s degree must make at least 50% progress toward a master’s degree within the first six years of employment.
