Valeria Yon
Valeria is the Water Resources Program Specialist for UF/IFAS Extension and Sustainability Sarasota County. A long time resident of Florida, Valeria is passionate about exploring Florida's natural ecosystems and protecting water resources. Prior to coming to Sarasota, Valeria worked for the Florida Park Service through AmeriCorps, serving 30 state parks around Florida, including her favorite - Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park. Currently, her role focuses on water conservation through Native landscaping, Florida Friendly irrigation, informed water consumption and educational programming.
