Urban Horticulture Program Assistant, UF/IFAS Extension Manatee County, 941-722-4524 x 1816, koliver@ufl.edu A graduate of the University of Florida with a B.S. degree in Forest Resources and Conservation, Kathy joined the Extension Service in 2006 as a part-time program assistant specializing in integrated pest management. She currently works full-time in the Master Gardener program, assisting with volunteer coordination and plant clinic diagnostics. She teaches Master Gardener and Master Naturalist training classes as well as public education programs. Kathy also oversees the Extension laboratory that tests soil and water samples for pH and soluble salts.
