What is #GivingTuesday?
#GivingTuesday is a global day to celebrate giving and is largely fueled by social media. Now in its fourth year, #GivingTuesday is observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. #GivingTuesday at UF/IFAS College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS)
This year’s #GivingTuesday campaign for CALS will focus on support for student scholarships. CALS students are moving the world forward, and scholarships help demonstrate that we believe in their ability to make a difference. With an alumni base of 33,000, a $10 gift from each CALS alumnus would provide 330 new scholarships to CALS students.

Through social media outlets we hope to thank, engage, and inspire our alumni and many friends to make 100 new gifts to support at least one new scholarship. In this season of giving, what better gift than the gift of education and opportunity? Give back here.
