Jennifer Johnson is the Global Food Systems Institute (GFSI) Program Assistant, and covers the institute’s administrative and communications responsibilities. She is a graduate of the Masters of Sustainable Development Practice program here at the University of Florida with a minor in Agricultural Education and Communication, and has nine years of experience working in agricultural communications and communications for international development. The Global Food Systems Institute (GFSI) supports faculty, staff, students, and extension professionals to engage in international work, including teaching, research, and outreach to strengthen human capacity for effective food systems, primarily in the Global South. GFSI assists with project development, identification of funding opportunities, and developing multidisciplinary teams.
