Legacy Planning Virtual Seminar: gift planning basics to maximize charitable impact

Did you know there are tax-advantageous ways to support the causes you care about? Thoughtful planning and choosing the right gift type can help donors maximize their impact. On April 4, join Florida 4-H’s Caylin Hilton and Alex Pribil from UF’s Office of Estate & Gift Planning to explore recent tax law updates, charitable giving trends, and ways to give more efficiently. Perfect for individuals both beginning their estate planning process and those with an existing plan.

Two virtual sessions offered Thursday, April 4:

Gift planning strategies help donors make a positive impact while minimizing tax burdens and leveraging various asset types including stocks, real estate, retirement assets and more. There are even charitable giving options that provide income to the donor or their designee.

Alex Pribil, J.D. is an Associate Director of Gift Planning with the University of Florida Foundation. He collaborates with development professionals across UF to create planned giving strategies with donors. Additionally, he works with financial planners, estate planning attorneys, and other advisors to increase awareness of extensive opportunities offered by the UF Foundation, so they can guide their clients in developing effective charitable giving strategies. Alex earned his Juris Doctor degree from The Ohio State University.

Caylin Hilton is the Director of Development & External Relations for Florida 4-H. Working with UF/IFAS, the Florida 4-H Foundation and UF Foundation, she promotes 4-H programs statewide and helps connect donors with opportunities ‘to make the best better’ through philanthropy. Caylin was a member of 4-H in Marion County, Florida. She earned her bachelor’s in forest resources and conservation (inspired by her 4-H Forestry involvement) and master’s in political science from the University of Florida.
