This month 4-H’ers across the state will travel to Tallahassee virtually! Members will connect with local and state officials from their homes, classrooms and Extension offices during the 2021 4-H Day at the Capitol.
The Florida 4-H Foundation is excited to have the opportunity to expand the annual Tallahassee reception, statewide and beyond, as we also go virtual for a 2021 Florida 4-H Alumni + Friends Celebration!
On March 25, alumni and friends of 4-H will come together to connect and celebrate the accomplishments of 4-H members and our shared commitment to #Opportunity4All youth. Join us as we connect with the 2020-2021 State Council Officer team, recognize the 2021 Florida 4-H Legislative Champion, hear both an inspirational speech by Leon County’s 2021 4-H Public Speaking Program winner and the 1st place entry in the #Opportunity4All essay contest.
There are many opportunities to share and support the great work 4-H youth, professionals and volunteers are doing across our state:
- Join the celebration on March 25 at 6pm EST – register for free or with a special benefit registration. And invite your 4-H friends, fellow alumni and family to join!
- Support 4-H’ers with the purchase of your 4-H Florida specialty license plate voucher(s) ONLINE through the event registration site (event registration/attendance not required). Vouchers may be purchased for any Florida driver with a vehicle registered to their name.
- Grab tickets for a chance to win a Gator Game Day Gear Pack, for yourself or the Gator fan in your life. Includes two tickets for a Florida football game in the Swamp, and supports the 4-H State Officer team and Council.
- Plan to participate in the virtual silent auction going live March 19 at 4pm EST including:
- priceless youth photography glass prints;
- specialty crafts including a 4-H Volunteer bundle and a Team Spirit bundle customized to the team of your choice;
- a custom handmade quilt in the style and image of your choice from Dr. Elva Farrell;
- and even tickets to attend UF’s 2021 Homecoming football game in Touchdown Terrace!
With generous support from alumni and community friends, the Florida 4-H Foundation provides support for scholarships, statewide programs such as 4-H University and Legislature, travel for national delegates and competitive teams, county-based Community Pride service learning grants, 4-H Public Speaking, and more.
