EFNEP is now hiring an Office Assistant!
This Office Assistant position with the UF/IFAS Extension Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in Escambia County is Part-time with Benefits.
Summary
The University of Florida (UF) Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) Extension Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA). It’s aim is to help low-income families and youth gain the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and changed behaviors necessary to improve their diets. Office Assistants support the work of EFNEP nutrition educators and the agent. They prepare printed materials and assist with compiling multiple reports. They also review personnel, payroll, and fiscal paperwork; assist with travel reimbursements; and plan meetings. Occasional out-of-county travel will be required.
Requirements
Minimum:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of appropriate experience
Preferred:
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Ability to work individually and with a team
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to quickly learn other reporting and creation systems like Qualtrics, Adobe Pro, Photoshop, Canva, etc.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable daily transportation

EFNEP provides research-based, group education free to eligible families and youth. Participants are empowered to adopt healthy lifestyle practices. Salary: $15/hour
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8am – 12pm (noon)
