On August 23, the North Florida Research and Education Center in Marianna will host the 2012 Peanut Field Day. Registration will commence at 8:00 AM (CDT). If you are interested in learning about the latest disease resistant varieties or the newest solutions to weed control problems, this is the place to be. The event will conclude with a delicious sponsored lunch of fried catfish. Field tours will begin at 8:30 AM with topics including disease and nematode control, new varieties, crop rotation, and weed control. Attendees will have the opportunity to see the results of in field research trials first hand. Core CEUs will be available at registration. Please take some time out of your busy schedule and enjoy the latest peanut production information while meeting with IFAS extension agents and production research specialists.

Directions:
From I-10, take Exit #142 (State Road 71, Marianna). Go north on SR-71 for approximately 2 miles. Turn left onto US-90, heading west. Go about 3 miles, then take SR-71 where the road branches off to the right. Follow SR-71 north for about 6 miles. The Center is on the left.
