Jay Capasso
Jay Capasso, is the Northeast Florida Regional Specialized Extension Agent focusing on Water Resources. He is based at the UF/IFAS North Florida Research and Education Center - Suwannee Valley in Live Oak, FL. He educates stakeholders and UF/IFAS County faculty on agricultural best management practices related to nutrient management and irrigation. Previously, Jay served as the row crop extension agent at UF/IFAS Extension Columbia County. Currently a PhD candidate in the University of Florida Soil, Water, and Ecosystem Sciences Department, he holds a B.S. in International Agriculture and Rural Development from Cornell University and an M.S. in Soil and Water Sciences from the University of Florida.
