The Naple’s Yard and Garden show is being held Saturday, October 28 from 9am to 4pm and Sunday October 29 from 9am to 3pm at the UF/IFAS Extension Collier County Office, 14700 Immokalee Rd, Naples. This annual tradition is over 20 years old.
This event is a fun filled, low key, traditional country style fair showcasing South Florida vendors. This year’s show will include many specialty nurseries displaying beautiful and rare ornamental plants.
Buy a plant or two and enjoy a barbeque meal prepared by Volunteer 4-H parents under the shade of our old oak trees.
You can tour the demonstration gardens featuring butterfly gardens, native plants, and a tropical fruit orchard featuring several named varieties of mango, Annona, longan, lychee, tamarind, and loquat.
Throughout the day, Master Gardener Volunteers and Extension Experts will give talks on topics to help you grow successful gardens in Southwest Florida.
Learn more about services and programs in Collier County from several county divisions. They will be available to share information on our wonderful parks, libraries, museums, and recycling programs. Several non-profit groups are on hand to share additional areas of interest.
The show is organized by the UF/FAS Extension Collier County Master Gardener Volunteers. Meet Master Gardeners and ask questions about Florida-Friendly Landscaping. If you need garden ideas, Master Gardener Volunteers can help you select plants for your location. They will have practical information about fertilizer, watering, local pests, viruses, and fungi.
