WORKSHOP: Backyard Chickens 101 April 7, 2018

Keeping poultry has been gaining great popularity among residents in urban areas across the country. But before bringing home a handful of chicks from your local feed store, there are a few things to consider—is it legal for you to keep chickens where you live? What kind of coop will they live in? How will you protect them from predators? What is the best way to care for your chickens so they are healthy and provide the best quality eggs?

Join Extension Agents from Lee, Hillsborough, Polk and Collier counties to learn about:

  • Housing
