Dr. Benjamin Sperry is a research biologist for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Engineers Research and Development Center stationed at the UF/IFAS Center for Aquatic and Invasive Plants where he also holds a courtesy faculty appointment. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the UF/IFAS College of Agricultural and Life Sciences in plant science and weed science, respectively, and earned his Ph.D. in weed science from Mississippi State University. His research program specializes in the following topics as they related to aquatic and invasive plant management: herbicide application technology and off-target movement, herbicide environmental fate, and integrated plant management.
