2024 Florida-Friendly Landscaping Class [8-week series]

April 2 | 9 am – 12 pm

Learn how to grow healthy plants & nutritious food and still protect the water quality of the Indian River Lagoon and the St. Johns River. In-person and virtual attendance options are available. Visit the registration page to view the class schedule.

The Science of Cheese Making

April 2 | 2 pm – 4:30 pm & 6 pm – 8:30 pm

Join us to learn how to make your own cheeses! This class will focus on the basics of cheese making and provide a hands-on opportunity to make two different types of cheese!

Cooking in an Instant & Air Frying

April 4 | 2 pm – 4 pm & 6 pm – 8 pm

This cooking class is a fun hands-on experience and you will get to eat what you made in class. You will learn four new recipes, two for your pressure cooker and two for your air fryer! We will be making dishes that feature Lebanese cuisine!

Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance (LCLM) Pesticide License Workshop

April 5 | 8:30 am – 5 pm

UF/IFAS Extension Brevard County will be offering an in-person Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance (LCLM) Training workshop that is needed to apply for the 482 Limited Certification Landscape Maintenance pesticide license certification exam (aka Round-up® license).

9th Annual 4-H Fair and Market Poultry Auction

April 13 | 9 am – 1 pm

Come explore what 4-H has to offer families while supporting youth in our community! This event is free and open to the public. Be sure to stop by to admire 4-Her’s displays of creativity and talent, socialize with our youth exhibitors, participate in the silent auction, and bid on market poultry hens during the live auction.

What Can I Make With…?

April 16 | 2 pm – 4 pm & 6 pm – 8 pm

Join us to learn how to cook with papayas! This class will focus on preparing an in-season Florida fruit or vegetable, which will help you learn how to eat with the seasons!

Backyard Chicken Training Class

April 17 | 10 am – 12 pm

Learn all about raising and caring for chickens in urban environments! This class is taught virtually in partnership with UF/IFAS Extension Orange County.

Natural Areas Weed Management Workshop

April 22 | 8:30 am – 5 pm

Build Your Bones! [6-week series]

April 25 – May 30 | 2 pm – 4:30 pm & 6 pm – 8:30 pm

Take steps toward improving or maintaining your bone health with our 6-week program! We will cover topics such as nutrients important to bone health, healthy eating tips, and more! Participants will also be able to taste-test recipes in class.
