Green Industries Best Management Practices (GI-BMPs) is an educational program for people working in lawn-care and landscape maintenance. The GI-BMP program teaches environmentally safe landscaping practices that help preserve and protect Florida’s ground and surface waters.

Med Instead of Meds Nutrition Program

August 8 – September 12 | 2 pm – 4 pm & 6 pm – 8 pm

Are you interested in eating healthier? Then consider joining us for our Med Instead of Meds nutrition class! The Med Instead of Meds program teaches participants how to eat like those who live in the Mediterranean region. This style of eating has been shown to promote health and decrease the risk of many chronic diseases, including diabetes and heart disease.

Water Bath and Pressure Canning

August 13 | 10 am – 12:30 pm

This hands-on experience will focus on two canning methods, water bath and pressure canning. You will be able to take your food home, so please bring a box with you as the jars will still be hot.

Brevard County Farmers Market

Every Thursday at the Regional Pavilion inside Wickham Park | 3 pm – 6 pm

Join us at the market to discover a variety of homemade food from local businesses! There are many unique products like grass-fed beef, Fresh from Florida produce, spices, honey, jams, coffee, nut butters, microgreens, edible plants, a variety of baked goods and vegan desserts, olive oil, salsas, and more! We also participate in the Fresh Access Bucks (FAB) token program! This program allows SNAP recipients to buy fresh produce and other goodies with their food stamp benefits.
