The International Exotic Animal Sanctuary (IEAS) is located in Boyd, Texas, and is home to many species of exotic animals such as tigers, bears, wolves, cougars, bobcats, and more.
Three-Month Carnivore Internship:
- Safety procedures, including classes led by certified instructors for CPR, Basic First Aid and Bleeding Control
- Diet preparation
- Feeding
- Cleaning
- Animal health
- Animal management
- Behavioral observations and participation in Emotional Enrichment Program to learn about animal behavior and emotions
- Enrichment
- Record keeping
- Assisting in construction and habitat modification, and related activities
- Involvement with the volunteer program, and both formal and informal presentations
- **This is a strict no contact position**
- Housing, vehicles and a stipend are provided
Experience Required:
- At least two years of undergraduate program studies in zoology, animal management, biology, or a related field
- International applications are welcome
- Must be able to perform regular, strenuous duties in over 100 degree weather and must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- You must present yourself in a professional manner
