Dr. Marcelo Wallau is the UF/IFAS Forage Extension Specialist, Associate Professor and Associate Program Leader for Agriculture and Horticulture. Dr. Wallau collaborates with colleagues from many disciplines including soil science, animal science and natural resources. Coming from a farming background in southern Brazil, Dr. Wallau’s interests are in the big picture of the production systems. He is searching for science-based solutions for challenging problems faced by farmers. As the Forage Extension Specialist, he helps farmers and Extension faculty throughout the state to improve forage production and management for their beef cattle, dairy cattle and horses. He specializes in improving the production and economic viability of forage-livestock systems.
