Tasnim Mitu, Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering

Today’s graduating student spotlight is Tasnim Mitu! Tasnim is graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering. While studying in the ABE department, Tasnim was able to find her passion for packaging engineering. Read more about Tasnim’s UF ABE experience this Q&A.

My favorite UF memories are attending club meetings and conferences and doing homework in the Student Room with my friends.
The UF Agricultural and Biological Engineering department has helped me find my passion. I got to know about packaging engineering through this department and decided to focus on it. I like it very much.
Dr. Jim Leary helped me a lot on this journey by always giving me advice. He was always there to help all the students in ABE department. Dr. Bruce Welt was also very helpful in my journey. He always brought packaging companies to our department so that students can get an internship/co-ops. He helped me whenever I needed help with my he and also helped me by giving different advice of getting jobs. Mrs. Robin Snyder is also super nice and a good advisor. She encouraged me to do well in all my classes.
I will be working full time in the packaging field after graduation.
Work hard, it will be worth it at the end!
