A free lecture on Crop Maintenance and Care in the Garden is being offered as part of the 4th installment of the Garden Talks Series hosted by the Acreage Branch Library. The public is invited to attend this educational opportunity taught by Dr. Chris Miller, UF/IFAS Commercial Vegetable & Tropical Fruit Extension Agent. The class will take place on Saturday, April 20th from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM at the Acreage Branch Library in Loxahatchee.
Whether you are a life-long resident, seasonal resident, or a new transplant to south Florida, the Garden Talks series is a great place to get useful and practical gardening advice. This month, Dr. Miller will cover good horticultural practices to limit plant stress via irrigation, fertilization, pruning, and pest management.
No previous gardening experience or attendance is required.

The Garden Talks series is an ongoing effort to share knowledge and sustain the existing enthusiasm for locally and home grown fruits, vegetables, and other edible plants.
