A free lecture on Pest Management in the Homeowner’s Garden is being offered as part of the 3rd installment of the Garden Talks Series hosted by the Acreage Branch Library. The public is invited to attend this educational opportunity taught by Dr. Chris Miller, UF/IFAS Commercial Vegetable & Tropical Fruit Extension Agent. The class will take place on Saturday, March 23rd from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM at the Acreage Branch Library in Loxahatchee.
Whether you are a life-long resident, seasonal snow-bird, or a new transplant to south Florida, the Garden Talks series is a great place to get useful and practical gardening advice. This month, Dr. Miller will identify common garden pests and discuss their management options in a relaxed and interactive setting.
No previous gardening experience or attendance is required.

The Garden Talks series is an ongoing effort to share knowledge and sustain the existing enthusiasm for locally and home grown fruits, vegetables, and other edible plants. It features informative lectures from topical experts, hands-on demonstrations, interactive discussions, a seed-exchange, and tasting table. First-timers are welcomed and encouraged to attend.
