The UF/IFAS Extension Orange County Master Gardeners are hosting their 6th Annual Plant Sale and Garden Festival. This is the volunteer organization’s annual fundraiser and is FREE to the public. You will not need to register on Eventbrite to attend the festival.
More than a plant sale, this event provides free education to residents on a variety of engaging gardening topics from beekeeping to growing herbs and orchids. In partnership with the Florida Urban Forest Council, this year’s event has an emphasis on TREES, featuring lectures about tree species, selection and diseases. Guests can stroll along the newly installed Tree Walk and explore the Butterfly Garden and other uniquely-themed Demonstration Gardens that demonstrate Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ principles. Children will have fun in their special area while learning basic gardening skills. Master Gardeners will answer your plant and pest questions in the Mobile Plant Clinic where they will also perform free soil pH testing. The day will also include food trucks, artisans and much more!
There will be guided tours led by Master Gardeners of the Exploration Gardens.
Walk through the gardens and see what plants can be grown in central Florida. Enjoy the pollinator garden, see the traditional Vegetable gardens and the hydroponic systems. Find solutions for your wet areas and discover the exciting and varied world of succulents.
Free tours will leave from the Formal Garden at 10am and 2pm. Pre-registration is required.
