Walton County Earth Day Festival & 5K Run/Walk~April 20th, 2013

Walton-Earth-Day-2013-poster-proof2The Department of Environmental Protection’s Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, the University of Florida IFAS Extension, Florida Sea Grant, and Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park invite you to participate in the 5th Annual Walton County Earth Day Festival & 5K Race on April 20, 2013 at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park.

Join us on the 20th for a wonderful day of activities at the Walton County Earth Day Festival which will kick-off with a Beach Clean-Up at 9 A.M, where you can pitch in and help clean up the Gem of the Emerald Coast. The festival starts at 10 A.M., this FREE event will include: children’s activities, educational games, cooking demos, guided hikes, food and fun for all ages. Many agencies, local organizations, and area businesses will be on hand to educate and entertain festival-goers.

The Earth Day Sunset 5K Race will start at 5 P.M. with a post-race celebration including a star gazing opportunity led by the Northwest Florida Astronomy Association to end the evening.   • 2:00-2:45 “Modern Day Bistro Dishes: Featuring Chef Dan Pettis”
  • Multiple Guided Hikes, Times TBA

5:00PM 5K Run/Walk Starts

Event Located At: Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, 7525 W. County Hwy 30-A Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459

(Located ¼ mile south from Hwy 98 on W. County Hwy 30-A)
