USDA chief scientist to speak at University of Florida

WHAT: The UF/IFAS York Distinguished Lecturer Series returns to the University of Florida campus in 2023; it has not been held in person since 2019.

WHO: The 2023 speaker is Chavonda Jacobs-Young, the United States Department of Agriculture’s undersecretary for research, education and economics and chief scientist. Speaking on “Revolutionary Research for a Growing World,” Young is expected to highlight the latest USDA scientific initiatives.

WHERE: The Harn Museum of Art at the University of Florida, Chandler Auditorium; the event will also be streamed live at ufl.zoom.us/j/97679065586?pwd=STQrSHZWczA1ZkRzSHEyN3Nta2x1dz09.

WHEN: May 3 at 10:30 a.m.
