The UF/IFAS Center for Public Issues Education in Agriculture and Natural Resources (PIE Center) will host a Lunch & Learn workshop focused on policy communication strategies for professionals in agriculture and natural resources (ANR) on Wednesday, Dec. 3, from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Held at the UF/IFAS Social Science Research Laboratory, 1380 Sabal Palm Dr., the interactive session will guide participants through the policymaking process, teach techniques for tailoring messages to policymakers and provide hands-on experience in crafting effective communication materials.
“Clear and strategic communication is essential for ensuring that industry voices are heard in policy discussions,” said Ricky Telg, professor of agricultural education and communication and director of the PIE Center. “This workshop is designed to equip professionals with the tools they need to educate or advocate effectively and confidently.”
The event is open to professionals in ANR industries, commodity associations and related organizations. Attendance is limited, and registration is $30. Lunch and parking will be provided for participants.
