Each year Florida 4-H members from across the state gather in Tallahassee for 4-H Day at the Capitol. On January 30, more than 1,000 4-H youth and adult leaders will attend to learn about the legislative process, interact with law and policymakers, and share the impacts of the Florida 4-H Youth Development Program.
As a capstone to the day, the Florida 4-H Foundation and legislative host committee welcome alumni and supporters to the 4-H Day at the Capitol Legislative Alumni & Friends Reception at 5:00pm at the Governors Club in Tallahassee. UF/IFAS Dean for Extension Nick Place will share the vision for 4-H in Florida, and guests will have the opportunity to meet and hear from youth state council officers.
This year’s legislative host committee includes:
- Representative Chuck Clemons
- Representative Chuck Brannan
- Representative Cyndi Stevenson
- Representative Jennifer Sullivan
- Representative Josie Tomkow
- Representative Jennifer Webb
