Each October, 4-H members across the country celebrate National Youth Science Day (NYSD). NYSD gives youth the opportunity to learn more about a different STEM topic (science, technology, engineering, math) by participating in a hands-on challenge. National 4-H supports these challenges by creating and distributing kits for youth to use to celebrate science and learn something new.
The 2018 NYSD project is “Code Your World”. This project gives youth a look into the rapidly growing field of computer science. According to National 4-H, this challenge takes place in four parts that bring coding to life through games and interaction.
Are you ready to get involved with this project and Code Your World?
Nassau County is partnering with Duval and St. Johns Counties to sponsor a Code Your World event in Jacksonville. Join us on Wednesday, October 17th at the Duval County Extension office to take part in this exciting coding challenge!
