Dr. Yilin Zhuang Receives Early Career Leadership Achievement Award from ANREP

Yilin Zhuang, regional specialized agent for water resources in the UF/IFAS Extension Central District, has been awarded the Early Career Leadership Achievement Award from the Association of Natural Resources Extension Professionals (ANREP).

Zhuang, who’s housed at the UF/IFAS Mid-Florida Research and Education Center, works with Central Floridian agriculturalists and homeowners on issues related to water quantity and quality.

Zhuang’s diverse portfolio of Extension activities focus on Florida’s most valuable natural resource – water. Zhuang’s programming covers a wide range of Florida water issues and includes:

  • Private well and septic systems: Join us for a four-part webinar series for well and septic owners in Central Florida
  • Water Wednesday: Our bi-monthly webinars cover topics ranging from building your own rain barrel to calibrating your home irrigation system to how Florida’s aquifer works
  • Precision agriculture and irrigation: Learn more about the use of this emerging technology in water conservation in agriculture
