Geiger Tree Damage 101

Links have been updated in this article from 2008. The Geiger trees are blooming and the insects are with us.

Several times a year an insect comes along and feeds on the Orange Geiger Tree, Cordia sebestena.
Not much seems to bother the , Orange Geiger tree with the exception being the Geiger Tortoise Beetle, (Eurapepla calochroma). This beetle is a common occurrence and although unsightly it will not kill the tree. Chemical control is rarely warranted.
