Dr. Gadsby is an innovation strategist with over 25 years of leadership experience at biotech startups and Fortune 500 global corporations. She shares her industry experience with students and faculty through her creation and leadership of professional development courses and the department advisory council. She is an alumna of the University of Florida Department of Microbiology and Cell Science and received her PhD in Biochemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr. Gadsby has led the successful discovery and commercialization of medical and consumer products as an inventor on over forty patents. She founded eGad Innovation, LLC, providing C-suite consultation on biotech entrepreneurial ventures in the wearable digital health space and worked on emerging technologies of national importance through support from DARPA and NIH. She has held leadership roles in new product commercialization, operations, logistics, marketing, quality, and technology development. She also has guided efforts for business sustainability, antimicrobial and protein treatments, material assessments, clinical studies, and artificial intelligence.
