Caitlin Sollazzo is the Commercial Horticulture Extension Agent for UF/IFAS Extension Manatee County. She specializes in ornamental plant production and supports local growers through science-based recommendations focused on integrated pest management, sustainability, and plant health. Caitlin has a background in plant pathology, entomology, and nematology, and earned her Doctor of Plant Medicine (DPM) degree from the University of Florida. She’s an enthusiast of the strange and fascinating corners of the natural world (fungi, insects, nematodes, oh my!) and loves helping others see the wonder in what often goes unnoticed.
