Recognizing an Agriculturalist of the Year – Recommend Your Favorite Now!

Manatee County Farm City Week Committee is accepting applications until August 31, 2023 for the Agriculturalist of the Year and Hall of Fame Awards.

Each year the Manatee County Farm City Week Committee selects two individuals in recognition of their contributions to the Manatee County Agriculture industry.  The Manatee County Outstanding Agriculturalist and the Agriculture Hall of Fame are the two awards recognized annually. Award applications for 2023 are being accepted and must be submitted by August 31, 2023. Eligible applicants include farmers, commercial fruits or vegetable producers, greenhouse industry, industry representatives, crop consultants, agriculture educators, or anyone else involved with the agricultural sector.

The Outstanding Agriculturalist must be a current member of the community. This person is honored during the Kiwanis Club of Bradenton Farm City Week Luncheon on Nov. 14, 2023. Nominees for the Manatee County Agriculture Hall of Fame may be living or deceased. This person is honored at the Hall of Fame Luncheon on Nov. 17, 2023. Photos of both recipients are placed in the Manatee County Agricultural Museum and the Hall of Fame in Palmetto.
