UF/IFAS Extension Women and Money Unique Issues

imagesCARC24RLUF/IFAS Extension Women and Money: Unique Issues encompasses financial management for women across the life cycle and through family transitions. This program focuses on the changes women may encounter throughout their lives and the impact of these changes on their economic status.

In general, compared to men, women…

*are less financially secure throughout their life,

*have lower earnings over their lifetime, earning only .71 cents for every dollar a man earned,

*experience higher poverty rates,

*are more likely to be a single parent,

*spend more years out of the workforce due to care giving,

* live longer—will need income for more years.

Mark your calendar for the following dates:

Tuesday – October 1, 8, & 15 and come learn about Women

Fee: $20 for all three sessions.

Time: 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Where: Veterans Memorial Civic Center

Must pre-register by calling 850-643-2229 and fee must be paid in full by the Friday before first
