Welcome to the UF/IFAS Leon County Extension Adopt-a-Garden Program page!
The Adopt-a-Garden Program was established in 2015 as a means for the Leon County community and UF/IFAS Leon County Master Gardeners to volunteer in community and school gardens.
Adopt-a-garden volunteers act as educators and supporters for garden organizers and members, conducting activities such as:
Educational talks and displays at garden workdays
Teaching hands-on gardening techniques
Garden planning
Garden networking
Other support activities that add to the vitality of the garden
Along with providing support for garden organizers, volunteers can assist in organizing community activities and encourage gardeners to work together and acquire new gardening skills.
