Does your school have a desire to teach students more about living healthier while also learning how to produce their own food? Have you considered starting a school based 4-H Club?
If the answer is yes, then contact the Jackson County 4-H office to see how your school can be a part of the Jackson 4-H School Garden Project and Ag Education program.
We incorporate resources from the Junior Master Gardener Curriculum Learn, Grow, Eat and Go! and Florida Agriculture in the Classroom Curriculum Gardening For Grades. We also have assistance from the Jackson County Master Gardeners and are currently working with The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation to develop and enhance school garden projects at Marianna Middle School and Jackson Alternative School.
