Garden to Table Workshop: Fall Gardening August 10

Join UF/IFAS Extension Jackson County Horticulture, UF/IFAS Extension Jackson County Family & Consumer Sciences, and the Jackson County Master Gardener Volunteer Program on Saturday, August 10 at the Jackson County Extension Office for the beginning of a second Garden to Table Workshop Series beginning with Fall Gardening.

This is the first session in a 3-part series focused on growing and cooking food from your own garden. In this workshop, we will cover what to do to have a flourishing cool-season vegetable garden, including best practices for planting during the fall and winter months. Participants will have the chance to taste vegetables that they can grow at home and take a variety of seeds to get started. The series will continue with a session on winter herbs and temperate fruit.

Each workshop is $15 per person, or you can register for all three at once and save $10. Pre-registration is required for this workshop. For questions, please call 850-482-9620. Please visit the Jackson County Extension Office at 2741 Penn Ave, Suite 3, Marianna, FL or visit www.JacksonCountyFCS.eventbrite.com to register.

The University of Florida is committed to providing universal access to all of our events. For disability accommodations such as sign language interpreters and listening devices, please contact teri2003@ufl.edu at least 2 weeks in advance. Advance notice is necessary to arrange for some accessibility needs.
