Originally from Altha, Florida, Keith obtained her AA degree from Chipola College before transferring to the University of Florida and earning a bachelor’s degree in Health Education. After graduating, she spent seven years facilitating and teaching health and safety courses with the American Red Cross. Keith is excited to join the Extension team and is looking forward to working with community members and partners to provide educational programs within the county.

“Many in the community are aware of the incredible number of resources available through the UF/IFAS Extension for agriculture and gardening, but I want to make sure they know we’re here for other questions as well. We have information and programs that focus on a wide range of topics such as canning foods, first-time home buyers, and wellness education. My goal is to expand the current programs already in place and identify areas where there is a need for education.”

For questions relating to health and wellness, food and nutrition, money management or buying your first home, contact the Jackson County Extension Office at 850-482-9620 Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, or via their Facebook page here.
