Jackson 4-H Members Compete in State Meats Judging Contest

State 4-H Meats Judging Team Members

Members of the Jackson County 4-H Livestock Club and their club leader Stacey Warden, made the trip to Gainesville to compete in the Intermediate Division of the State 4-H Meats Judging Competition on April 15th.

The team finished third overall with a 2nd place finish in judging, 2nd in retail identification and a 3rd in exam. Team member Hayden Warden was 4th high individual in the State with a 3d place in judging and 3rd in retail identification. Team members Whitnie Yoder finished 8th overall, Lila Caraway finished 9th overall and Dylan Ziglar finished 11th overall.
