Cloverbuds closed their eyes and reached into a sack to retrieve an item during an activity with Jackson County 4-H Agent Angel Granger. They identified the item and explained what it was used for. Everyone got theirs right!

The Jackson County 4-H day camp, “Cloverbud Explorations: The World of Rabbits and Poultry”, was held on July 1, 2014 at the UF/IFAS Jackson County Extension Office. Camp participants learned about using proper hand washing techniques with Dr. Mary Gessert, VMO. They also learned about what rabbits eat, how to properly feed and water them, what they are used for, where they live, and how to properly handle them, with Jackson County 4-H Volunteer Anita Crossley. The Jackson County 4-H Agent Angel Granger, spoke with them about poultry. The campers learned about what chickens eat, what they are used for, how to properly feed and water them, where eggs come from, the life-cycle of a chicken, and how to properly handle them. At the end of the day camp, each of the participants removed feeding and watering utensils from a bag and properly identified each one! The day camp was something to crow about!
