The Northwest Florida Water Management District has $680,875 cost-share funding available for projects to improve water quality and reduce water use demands on farms in and around the Jackson Blue Spring Basin. Eligible projects will provide increased efficiency in both irrigation and fertilizer use in Jackson County—the largest agricultural area in Northwest Florida.
Participant Eligibility:
1. The project site must be located within Jackson County, Florida.
2. The project site must be in regulatory compliance.
3. The producer must enroll in an applicable FDACS-adopted BMP program.
Candidate Selection Guidelines:
Eligible producers will receive cost-share on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority will be given to eligible producers whose farms are within the Jackson Blue Springs recharge basin.
Eligible BMP Tools:
Only purchases of new equipment or services will be eligible for cost-share payments of up to 75% cost-share, with a maximum of $56,250 cost-share reimbursement per producer.
