North Florida Fair

Mark November 1-12 on your calendars. That’s when the NORTH FLORIDA FAIR, in Tallahassee, Florida, will be in town! 4-H Day at the fair will be on Saturday, November 10. This is a day that all 4-Hers will be able to get in the fair FREE, any time before 2pm (must present your 4-H card). The fair offers many exciting opportunities for youth to showcase their talents. Youth can:

*Enter exhibits in the fair for ribbons and premium money. Exhibit entry forms must be turned into Ben Knowles by September 28. Please contact Ben on how to complete your entry form.

* Participate in Livestock Judging or Consumer Choices Judging. Youth will learn how to evaluate animals and feed for the Agriculture Judging and consumer products for the Consumer Choices. Contact Ben Knowles by October 12 to sign up. Youth will compete on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 10 am at the fair.

*Participate in the 4-H Talent Show. You can sing, dance, or perform a skit, etc. on stage for 3-5 minutes. This can be done by yourself or with a group of friends. Contact Ben Knowles by September 28 to sign up. Youth will perform on Saturday, Nov. 10 at noon.

*If you are a 4-Her, parent of a 4-Her or volunteer you can purchase North Florida Fair discount ride bands through the County Extension office. One ride band is $15 and can be used on 4-H Day at the Fair. If you are interested in purchasing any ride bands please turn your money into the 4-H office by, Friday, October 26.
