This position is involved in all aspects of the research dairy operation, included but not limited to, training and assisting with milking, cleaning, livestock handling and health and reproductive observations of animals at the facility. It is critical that the employee be adept at following written and oral instructions as directed by management, research and facility protocols. This position will cover the night shift milking at the dairy which begins at 5:30 pm. The position may at times require flexible hours. The Research Administrator II is a mid-level position with some prior experience in research administration; who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. Works independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices. This position provides professional management and assistance primarily dedicated to post award management as it relates to our county partners and contractual obligations throughout the State of Florida in sponsored program awards to establish, maintain, and monitor funds for the IFAS Florida Cooperative Extension Service.
